Some summers can be a right washout, which means that butterflies cannot stock up on enough energy to survive the winter. So, here is what you can do and it involves.... a banana!
- use an old banana
- while still in the skin, mash it between your hands
- pierce the skin of the banana and leave it in a quiet, sunny spot away from cats
- try one banana first to see if any butterflies will come
