Brussels Sprouts with hazelnuts, tatties and Tofu
A delicious classic seasonal recipe with a twist. By using tofu of choice instead of real meat, this vegetarian recipe is a treat for everyone.
Preparation
Heat a frying pan with no oil or butter and roast the hazelnuts until slightly browned. Leave to cool and chop roughly.
Boil the brussels sprouts for around 6 minutes until soft. Fry the tofu until heated.
Melt the butter or margarine and add the apple and maple syrup. Fry for around 3 minutes turning regularly. Add the sprouts and fry for another couple of minutes. Make sure everything is coated with the butter/maple syrup mixture.
Serve with a Taifun tofu product of choice. I've chosen Taifun smoked tofu with almonds.
Add the chopped hazelnuts and serve with your choice of potatoes and the fried tofu.
